This is one of the “One Hundred Famous Views of Edo, titled “Komagatadou Azumabashi(Komagata Hall and Azumabashi Bridge)”, depicting a famous spot in Edo (present-day Tokyo) during the Edo period.
A lone cuckoo flies in the morning sky during the rainy season over the Sumida River in Asakusa. In the foreground on the left is Komagata Hall, half of a building, and above the roof of the hall is a small depiction of Azumabashi Bridge. The arrangement of the bird and the red flag sign of the daily necessities store "Beni-ya" creates an impressive design.
